Candy Makers Sour Over Sugar

WASHINGTON (DTN) -- Candy companies have been thriving and adding jobs even while they have lobbied Congress that sugar prices have caused them economic difficulties, according to a study by a University of Maryland finance professor. The American Sugar Alliance released the findings of the report Monday on the eve of Senate and House Agriculture Committee consideration of reauthorization of the sugar program.
