WASHINGTON (DTN) -- A provision in the House version of the farm bill that would restrict states' ability to block the sale of agricultural products from other states is creating some political infighting in Iowa.

U.S. Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, calls his provision the "Protect Interstate Commerce Act." It would effectively prevent states from blocking the sale of agricultural products from other states that have been approved as safe by USDA or FDA.
