SENATORS TO TAKE ANOTHER RUN AT REFORMING SUGAR PROGRAM

A bipartisan group of senators has introduced legislation designed to allow more sugar to be imported and to reduce price supports for domestic sugar producers. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., introduced a similar bill during last year's farm bill debate, and she is leading the new effort.
