SENATE'S CONTINUING RESOLUTION WOULD EXEMPT FARMS FROM EPA OIL SPILL RULES

The Senate last week took up its version of a continuing resolution that would avoid a government shutdown scheduled for March 27 by keeping the funds flowing through the remainder of fiscal 2013. The resolution also includes an amendment introduced by Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla., that would prevent the Environmental Protection Agency from enforcing federal oil spill rules on farms.
