Farm Bill Votes Over Weekend

OMAHA (DTN) -- The House of Representatives should finally name its conferees to the farm bill after three expected votes on Saturday to clarify where congressmen stand on issues such as sugar policy, means testing for crop insurance and permanent farm law.

By the end of the weekend, the House and Senate Agriculture Committees shouldn't have anything in their way to negotiating over differences in their respective versions of the farm bill.
