AFBF, UFW Ramp Up Efforts

WASHINGTON (DTN) -- Both the American Farm Bureau Federation and the United Farm Workers are intensifying their lobbying on immigration reform as President Barack Obama ramped up the pressure on Congress to pass a comprehensive bill and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte pushed backed.

Nearly 100 American Farm Bureau Federation leaders and members from Colorado, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Ohio will arrive in Washington Tuesday to advocate congressional passage of comprehensive immigration reform, Farm Bureau said Friday.
