DES MOINES (DTN) -- Agriculture's dowdy public image is causing headaches around the globe. At the World Food Prize Borlaug Dialogue taking place in Des Moines this week, speakers from a variety of countries fretted about how to make agriculture more attractive to young people.

"We need to make agriculture sexy, and especially in Africa," said Mpule Kwelagobe, the founder and CEO of the MPULE Institute for Endogenous Development, a New York City-based think tank that studies African development.
