House Appropriators Challenge USDA on COOL, Biotech Acceptance Timeline

A lack of a backup plan should the United States lose the pending WTO case Canada and Mexico filed relative to the U.S country-of-origin labeling (COOL) rule, and frustration over USDA’s biotech acceptance pace were two issues House Ag appropriators pressed USDA about during an April 2 hearing.
