FDA Lobbies for Increase in Food Safety Budget

Congress continues to approve food safety laws designed to protect consumers from problems in the supply lines of both domestic and imported foods, but it has neglected to provide the funding that the Food and Drug Administration requires to carry out the new missions, according to FDA Deputy Commissioner Michael Taylor.
