South Korea Unlikely to Play a Role in Developing Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement

South Korea recently expressed an interest in joining the ongoing Trans-Pacific Partnership free trade agreement talks, but the United States is not on board with the idea, at least not now. U.S. Trade Representative Michael Froman says Seoul would have to wait until the current talks are concluded before being able to join.
