FDA Works on Environmental Impact Statement on Proposed Production Standards for Raw Produce

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said it will develop an environmental impact statement on its proposed production standards for raw produce. In a notice published Aug. 19, the agency said it is responding to concerns that requirements related to water usage and manure fertilizer in particular could have some unintended consequences.
