House GOP Unmoved by Reid's Threat Regarding Farm Bill Extension

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid earlier this week vowed that the Senate would not go along with any plan to extend the 2008 farm bill for yet another year. His remarks came following last week's defeat of the farm bill in the House and speculation about whether Congress would simply extend current legislation for another year, as it did in December 2012.
