FDA Asks Judge to Dismiss Lawsuit Charging the Agency with Foot Dragging

The Food and Drug Administration has asked a federal judge to dismiss a lawsuit that calls into question the administration's lack of progress on implementing the Food Safety Modernization Act. FDA sent drafts of four of the more important rules to the White House Office of Management and Budget for review a year ago, but none of the proposals has emerged yet from the administration's review process.
