GENERAL COMMENTS:

Cattle futures are under pressure at midday following lack of support in feeder cattle futures. Little additional activity in cash markets will likely keep prices under pressure through most of the day, as buyers seem to be content with activity done early in the week, and now are allowing moderate position taking to take place. Lean hog futures are holding moderate to strong gains as traders once again look at tighter supplies. Corn futures are lower at midday. July corn futures are 4 cent per bushel lower.
