GENERAL COMMENTS:

Lean hog futures rebounded Thursday morning after posting light to moderate early losses. Traders are focusing on firm pork value support in the morning report and potential cash gains at the end of the week. Cattle futures are under pressure, although traders remain quietly traded at midday. Corn futures are higher at midday. December corn futures are 1 cent per bushel higher. Stock markets are lower in light trade. The Dow Jones is 34 points lower while Nasdaq is down 39 points.
