Morning CME Globex Update: December corn was down 1 cent, November soybeans were up 3 cents, and September Chicago wheat was down 1 3/4 cents. At 8 a.m., USDA said that 464,000 metric tons (17.0 mb) of U.S. soybeans were sold to unknown destinations for 2014-15. Also, China bought 116,000 tons (4.3 mb) of optional-origin new-crop soybeans. September Chicago wheat was lower early Friday, while investigators look into the causes of the downed Malaysian Airline flight in eastern Ukraine.
