OMAHA (DTN) -- Three universities -- the University of Illinois, University of Missouri and Texas A&M University -- will receive USDA funding to create online tools to help educate farmers about what new farm bill programs mean for their businesses.

The three schools will split $3 million, USDA said. An additional $3 million will go to state Cooperative Extension Services for outreach and education on the farm bill's Price Loss Coverage (PLC) program, Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) and several other new programs.
