Obamacare is a big government program driving up our health care costs. Agriculture has experienced the effects of bloated big government programs such as federal crop insurance. It should be obvious that big government giving the largest farmers the largest government benefits (insurance premium subsidies) having the largest guaranteed incomes every year has driven up farmers costs of production in many ways most obviously farm land prices. Farming is a highly competitive business where farmers are more than willing to spend the income guarantees congress has doted on them. Perhaps these politicians and farmers who are maintain that unlimited government safety nets are so important to agriculture can explain how big government driving farmers' costs of production through the roof helps the security of farmers.
