Spot Ethanol Prices Gain in Active Trade After Holiday

Spot ethanol prices surged during Monday morning trade after the three-day Easter weekend, but by early afternoon prices at the Argo hub near Chicago cut their advance as trade volume picked up. The market is looking ahead to weekly ethanol supply data due out Wednesday. Today transfer ethanol at Argo was discussed midmorning at a $2.50 to $2.54 gallon bid/ask spread, up 3.0cts, with current discussions at a $2.46 to $2.54 gallon bid/ask, up 1.0cts.
