Spot Ethanol Prices Track Corn Lower as Supply Fears Ease

Spot ethanol prices tumbled early Monday on lower corn futures on the Chicago Board of Trade while some traders expect to see an increase in weekly ethanol supply.

Tom Pfitzenmaier, an analyst at Summit Commodity Brokerage in Des Moines, Iowa, said traders have softened their forecast for a big increase in weekly domestic ethanol production, though they still expect to see overall supply climbing for the week-ended April 19.
