NYH Spot Ethanol Value Tracks Corn Futures Slightly Higher

Spot ethanol prices were flat at $2.365 gallon in Chicago while up a penny at $2.475 gallon in New York during a thin trading session, tracking modest gains by corn futures on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Most spot trade activity today was concentrated in the market for tradable ethanol compliance credits, with D6 Renewable Identification Numbers for 2012 notionally valued up 3 cents at 30 cents to 32 cents bid/ask while 2013 RINs traded at 33 cents, up 3 cents on the day.
