Cash Ethanol Prices Slump on Forecast for Rising Supply

Spot ethanol prices moved lower early Wednesday under pressure from a downside push by Chicago Board of Trade corn futures and firming domestic ethanol stockpiles in what is seen as a well-supplied market.

"I think the (ethanol) imports will keep the East Coast well-inventoried," said a broker. "Inventories are going to be unchanged to higher," added another broker in offering his estimate for last week's stock change.
