Used Equipment Prices to Fall?
If supply and demand principles work unimpeded, prices for used equipment would start out low because of the large stockpiles on dealers' lot and would rise if supplies dwindled and demand held. It hasn't worked that way yet.[Read Full Blog Post]

Often, one overlooked fact is, if there is not a projected profit, tax incentives will make little difference in the proposed purchase.

Not quite correct. The life of this tax, along with a warehouse to warehouse tax in Minnesota was very short lived. The very next session, after passage by the DFL majorities, the law was reversed due to tremendous pressure on the DFL Governor, from many industry groups.

Escort vehicle is a bad idea. It only serves to hinder traffic flow, and if you are rear ended the person in the vehicle following you is in jeopardy. Escorts should be in front of you if anything, slowing oncoming traffic down, warning oncoming traffic over the hill or around a curve. When a Ag vehicle needs to turn left the operator should gradually take up the passing lane before he turns, this will prevent someone from passing while you are turning left. Never count on someone seeing your turn signal. All the flashing lights and big equipment distracts most people from seeing a little turn signal.

I live in northcentral Montana .. the Golden Triangle. The local dealership quit handling NH and the nearest dealer is now 250 miles away. I bought new a 60' NH air drill and 120' sprayer NH the last 3 years. Now I have been abandoned by them. Not happy at all! I will not buy anymore New Holland equipment for that reason. This is the main wheat area in Montana and the red and green dealerships are thriving. New Holland pulled out without warning. Regret for me.
